Project Title: Futuristic City Reduction Print

Overview: Students will create reduction prints of a futuristic city landscape
Art Skills: Printmaking and stamping
Process: Students first draw a futuristic city landscape on a Styrofoam sheet which is then printed in black. The sheets are wiped clean(ish) and elements are cut and re-inked in other colors which are then stamped on the original print.
Materials: professional art printing paper, brayers, block printing ink, Styrofoam sheets

Description Summary: Today students had a special art lesson making Reduction Prints using professional printmaking materials. They discussed the history and function of printing and designed and drew their futuristic cities. They printed the first pass in black and then added color with their reduction pieces.
