Project Title: Individual Puppet Theater
Medium: Drawing, Collage – Narrative Project
Grade Theme: Humans and Fantasy

Overview: Students will create individual puppet theaters out of folded and drawn paper with puppets on sticks.
Art Skills: Drawing, Construction, cutting
Process: Students will draw the backdrop, and frame and fold the theater structure and glue it together, They will then draw and cut their puppets out of heavy paper. Teachers will glue the frame to the theater and will help assemble the puppets with the theater.
Materials: Mixed media paper, watercolor paper, watercolor pencils, sticks, tape
Tools Provided by Classroom: Scissors, pencils, glue

Description Summary: Today students had a special art lesson making their own individual puppet theaters and puppets. They drew their backdrops and theater wings, folded the frame, made their puppets, and then glued the whole thing together.
