Project Title: Pop-up Habitat Collage
Medium: Collage - Pop-up Project 
Grade Theme: Metamorphosis & Transformation

Overview: Students will create relief collage landscapes of their chosen habitat using layers of construction paper with paper spacers and details with watercolor pencils
Art Skills: Drawing, cutting, gluing, composition
Process: Students will fold and glue construction paper into a corner and then cut pop-up spacers. They will then cut and glue elements of the habitat landscape and draw and cut animals that have adapted to their environment.
Materials: Construction paper, watercolor pencils, glue
Tools Provided by Classroom: Scissors, pencils, glue

Description Summary: Today students had a special art lesson making 3-D habitat collages, filled plants and animals.  They cut and glued layers of trees, rocks and animals out of construction paper and watercolor pencil drawings.
