Project Title: Pop-up Animal Puppet
Medium: Watercolor Paper, Watercolor Pencils, skewers, tape
Grade Theme: Animals
Overview: Students will make operational animals puppets drawn onto folded watercolor paper.
Art Skills: drawing, brushwork, cutting
Process: Starting with the head and mouth, they will draw the whole animal with its texture and patterned surface. They will draw the inside of the mouth and then blend with brushes and water, then cut them out. Art teachers will tape on the skewers and we will all test our puppeteering skills.
Materials: watercolor paper, watercolor pencils, brushes
