Project Title: Ocean Landscape Stamping
Medium: Printmaking
Grade Theme: Oceans and Fish
Overview: Students will create ocean landscapes with seaweed, schools of fish, big sea creatures, and more, using stamps they make themselves and professional printing ink.
Art Skills: Drawing, cutting, stamp making, stamping composition
Process: Students will draw water current and bubbles and make stamps out of sticker-backed foam and cardboard. They will make one seaweed stamp, one big fish/creature stamp and one stamp of a school of smaller creatures. Art teachers will help students ink stamps with professional block printing ink for students to stamp their compositions.
Materials: Construction paper, sticker foam sheets, cardboard, block ink, wax crayons, watercolor pencils
Tools Provided by Classroom: Scissors, pencils, art shirts/smocks

Description Summary: Today students had a special art lesson making ocean landscapes filled with fish and sea creatures. They made their own stamps and then stamped and drew their ocean landscapes in vivid colors.
