Project Title: Flying Bird Pop-up
Medium: Construction Paper Collage

Overview: Students will create a kinetic bird collage pop-up sculpture using construction paper
Art Skills:, cutting, gluing, composition
Process: Students will draw, cut and glue landscapes of construction paper and cardstock. They will then make bird parts (body and head, and two separate wings) by tracing their hands and collaging with paper scraps. Students will then bring their landscapes, bird bodies and two wings (still separated) to the art teachers who will hot glue them together with a folded paper strip to make the pop-up, kinetic aspect.
Materials: Construction paper, card stock
Tools Provided by Classroom: Scissors, pencils, white glue

Description Summary: Today students had a special art lesson making kinetic flying object pop-up collages. They drew, cut and glued a landscape and their flying objects and then adhered them to have a kinetic movement aspect.
