Creative World Art School is a non-profit organization in Arcadia, CA focusing on arts education. We offer weekend fine arts classes, an after-school program, summer art camps, birthday art workshops, and more.

Art Program

ART program

Our classes focus on media exploration, historical and contemporary art studies, and technical skills building. Classes meet weekly for 1.5 / or 2 hours, and each session is 6 to 8 weeks. You can see examples of student work here.

Art 101, 102, and 103 follow a thematic approach while students explore different media including drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and sculpture. Art 104, 201, and 202's students will create independent projects while gaining a deeper understanding of different principles in art. Art Program 2017-2018 themes are TBD and should be announced in July.

Art 101: Age 4-5
Saturday 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
First foundation art class introducing basic art principles, media, equipment, and skills. Mixed media art projects teach planning, design and exploration of art.

Art 102: Age 5-6
Saturday 10:30 am - 12:00 pm & Saturday 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Foundation art class exploring fine art principles and media, expanding art skills and refining concepts through different and mixed media projects.

Art 103: Age 7-9
Saturday 10:30 am - 12:00 pm & Saturday 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
In-depth mixed media exploration, refining art skills, practicing drawing and planning, introducing more complex concepts and encouraging students to refined work.

Art 104: Age 9-12
Saturday 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm
Fine art class curriculum exploring painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, collage and design.
Mature skills and art concepts are introduced along with meaning in art and art history.

Art 201: Ages 12-15
Saturday 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Rigorous fine art class working in painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, printmaking and design. Students will work on each project for successive sessions, deeply exploring each medium and focusing on process, professional skill sets, content and meaning.

Art 202: Ages 15-18
Saturday 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Professional fine art class including local museum and gallery tours, critique and portfolio development, along with a rigorous fine arts class including life drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, sculpture and design.

Shakespeare Theatre Arts: Ages 8-12

Drama and theatre class and exploration including character development, ensemble games, vocal exercises focus work, movement and performance of Shakespeare!

Digital Arts (Computer Animation, Game Design, 3D Design & Printing): Ages 8 and up

Beginning game design exploring principles and theory of game design and learning building blocks of programming. Students will learn to create video elements, basic landscapes and to combine code to create their own games.
